Gentle Island Beach House is a coastal oceanfront summer home in Seaview, PEI. The chalet-style cottage has unobstructed panoramic views of the ocean, beautiful sunrises and sets. Its large air conditioned open-concept kitchen/dining/living area is flooded with natural light with floor to cathedral ceiling windows. And, your beach access is about a ten seconds walk off the deck – a hard to find feature on such a secluded and gorgeous beach.
Gentle Island sleeps 7 guests in 3 bedrooms (4 beds) and has 2 full bathrooms.
The main entrance to the cottage leads through the full laundry area and into the bedroom and bath section. There are two queen bedrooms on this floor complete with ceiling fans, multiple windows and a large dresser/closet. A completely renovated bathroom (2021) sits opposite the two bedrooms. The kitchen and master ensuite were also renovated in 2021.
The very well equipped kitchen offers a sleek quartz counter space for chef prepping and holiday entertaining. The window above the sink allows for a colorful view of the ocean, cliffs and countryside. Beyond the kitchen are the ocean view dining and living areas. The dining space includes a table for 8 with an additional 3 bar stools at the kitchen peninsula. Access to the oceanfront deck and BBQ is quite effortless between the bar stools and dining table. This deck (where you can hear the ebb and flow of the ocean) wraps three sides of the cottage and has the added benefit of offering sun and shade together. It is complete with Adirondack chairs and a sizeable picnic table.
An ‘island stone’ hearth and chimney centered in the living room adds a classic
island touch to the already perfectly soothing beach decor. Curl up in the comfortable seating and enjoy the stunning views, the gas fireplace on a cool night or take a nap to the sound of crashing waves…your beach vibes really don’t get a lot closer than this.
The bright second floor bedroom acts more as a spacious family suite with ocean views. This area includes a king bed, single day bed and a stunning master ensuite. In addition to the spa-like soaker tub, guests have the luxury of a huge walk-in shower with double shower heads - and an ocean view, of course.
Gentle Island Beach House is complete with a propane BBQ, propane fireplace, TV (Netflix, etc.), Wifi, linens, towels, beach towels, beach chairs, beach toys and a fully equipped kitchen. *Please note - if you were a previous guest of ours, the Bunky has been removed and is no longer an option for additional sleeping quarters.
